Douglas Stafford team members invited to Dacia training event

Team members from Douglas Stafford were invited to the heart of England for an exclusive Dacia training event, as guests of the company’s clients the Renault Group.

Douglas Stafford Head of Communications, Jamie White and Account Manager, Rohan Tailor, were given the chance to be a part of the official training day in Coventry to learn about the full Dacia range, alongside Dacia and Renault staff from dealerships across the UK.

 

Dacia – a subsidiary of Renault – is Europe’s fastest growing car brand, with more than 17,000 sales recorded in its first year of sales in the UK.

 

The morning kicked off with an introduction from motoring journalist and former Top Gear presenter, Jason Dawe, before Anthony Dunn talked about enhancing the customer experience, sales methods and going the extra mile.

Attendees’ knowledge of the full Dacia line up was tested by Carl Borland, with sweets handed out for successful answers about the range of Dacia upgrades and specifications.

 

In the afternoon there was the opportunity to test drive the Dacia Sandero, Dacia Sandero Stepway, Dacia Duster and Dacia Logan MCV, before Jason held a special version of ‘Dacia Blind Date’, to add a humorous – but educational – spin on proceedings.

 

Later in the day, guests were taken off-road in the Dacia Duster to demonstrate its capabilities in wet and muddy terrain. Flicking between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, the Duster handled the conditions with ease.

The event finished with a product and qualification seminar, before Dacia Brand Manager Andy Heiron brought the day to a close.

 

Rohan said: “Douglas Stafford has been working with the Renault UK and Dacia UK brand for more than ten years on a variety of bespoke mystery shopping programmes.
