A senior member of the Douglas Stafford head office I.T department is celebrating his fifth anniversary at the company today (Friday).
Philip Talbot, joined the company, which has its head office at Lakeside North Harbour, Portsmouth, in 2009 and was just one of two software developers in the I.T department at that time.
Now, the department has tripled and plays an integral role in ensuring the Douglas Stafford in-house systems, server, website, software and hardware all runs smoothly.
During his five years at Douglas Stafford, Philip has seen many changes and improvements.
“I think the most notable changes have been the replacement of the old server room environment with the latest state of the art servers and infrastructure, and the relocation to a larger office to accommodate the ever growing demands of the business.
“The software has certainly changed too. It is ever-developing in-line with client requirements to fulfill the bespoke programmes we offer. All of our software is written in-house which is a great USP.”
Philip is currently involved in the upcoming new version of business support software and will be engaged in further design and improvements to the current server room.

To celebrate his five year anniversary, Philip brought cakes in for the head office team to enjoy and was presented with several bottles of his favourite ales as thanks for his hard work and commitment over the years.
