The fundraiser, organised by Douglas Stafford Head of Communications, Jamie White, was held to raise money for the Breast Care Nurses’ Trust Fund at St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight.

The two places on a summer 2015 sailing day were kindly donated by the mystery shopping and performance improvement company and helped push the total to almost £5,000.

The event had a theme of Back in Time and featured an array of costumes, including outfits from the 1920s, 50s and 80s, along with Vikings, classic cartoon characters and even the Thundercats.

Some of the other top prizes on the night included two Bestival tickets, a bottle of Scotch signed by the Leader of the House of Commons William Hague and the chance to co-host the Isle of Wight Radio Breakfast Show.

Jamie, who organised the event in memory of his mother, said: “I have to say thank you to everyone who contributed, in one way or another, to make the event such a huge success. I have spoken to the winners of the sailing day and they are delighted they won and can’t wait for the day!”
