Traditionally, Movember is when men around the world grow a moustache during November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health – specifically prostate and testicular cancer.

But one female Renault UK team member is leading the challenge to raise as much money as possible.

Sandra Nelmes currently sits 11th in the Movember ‘Mo Sista’ fundraising challenge having raised more than £500 so far through a series of fun, facial hair themed events and activities.

Douglas Stafford head office team members are planning to hold a Dress Down Day and raffle, with all money raised going towards Sandra’s total.

Sandra works at Renault UK’s head office, based in Rickmansworth, and has been sporting a series of colourful moustaches during the month.

Sandra said: “I have a wonderful husband and two wonderful sons, nephews, brothers in law, great male friends – they all have fabulous male friends – and we have been touched by the very real and heartbreaking issues Movember aims to address.

“Together we should do all we can to raise awareness and empower men to look after themselves properly, and for them to know how much support there can be. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the very generous donations I have received so far for this excellent cause.

“Incidentally, I have really had the most wonderful time wearing my moustaches and may continue long after November ends!”

A team member at Douglas Stafford has also taken on the challenge to support Movember.

I.T specialist Phil Talbot said he decided to grow the moustache to help raise awareness about the cause.
