A team member from Douglas Stafford is gearing up for a gruelling triathlon event around London’s Hyde Park.
Douglas Stafford HR Manager, Julie Worthington, is taking part in the Vitality World Triathlon Open Race Sprint Relay event to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Julie will be competing in the team event on Sunday, May 31st, with friends Marcia Jane Archer and Audra Morgan, as part of team Feel it Fitness.
The Vitality World Triathlon London is one of the world’s leading triathlon events and one of only two legacy events from the 2012 Olympic games still open to public participation.
Julie – a keen cyclist – will be cycling 22.5km, while her teammates will be running 5km and swimming 750 metres, taking on competitors from around the UK.
Julie (pictured far right) said: “It’s the first time I have taken part in a triathlon in London and I’m really looking forward to it. Our training has been going quite well so far which is pleasing, and hopefully we can raise plenty of money for charity.”
