Vodafone has launched its home broadband service – Vodafone Connect – across the UK.

Following an initial launch in Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and Manchester, Vodafone Connect will be available for existing customers with options up to 76Mbps, utilising the BT Openreach infrastructure.

Vodafone said its fibre network reaches exchanges that pass 22 million premises in the UK, with the service being provided to homes via a plug-and-play Vodafone router. It will be available to non-Vodafone customers later this year.

There are three speed options available: Broadband ADSL (up to 17Mbps), Superfast Fibre Broadband (up to 38Mbps) and Superfast Fibre+ Broadband (up to 76Mbps).

Existing Vodafone customers will receive £5 off the standard broadband price every month and for the first 12 months it will be discounted to half price.

Vodafone UK Consumer Director, Cindy Rose, said: “We started our broadband journey with an exclusive offer available only to a few Vodafone customers. We have now extended this to all our millions of customers as our way of saying thank you for their loyalty.”
