Bentley 8 to be auctioned off in aid of charity
By Jamie White – Head of Communications
A supremely elegant 1987 Bentley 8 will take its place amongst more than 150 classic cars at the Historics Auction at Brooklands, Surrey this weekend.
The much-loved and well-travelled Bentley – presented in fine condition inside and out – is offered at No Reserve, with all proceeds from the sale being donated to the Cancer Vaccine Institute charity at the request of the vendor, plus Historics’ sellers and buyers commissions.
Whilst the Historics Auction catalogue was being prepared, there was sad news from the vendor that his sister passed away, aged 42, following a three-year battle against liver cancer.
Professor Angus Dalgleish and the team at Cancer Vaccine Institute rely on donations alone and it is hoped the auction on Saturday (June 7th) will raise thousands for the charity.
Further donations are encouraged, and can be made through the website – http://www.cancervaccine.org.uk/donate.html
