The new store is just a stones throw away from the company’s previous site in the town, but is considerably larger and offers much more for customers.

The event was attended by CEO Andrew Jacobs, staff, investors, customers, suppliers and friends of Lok’nStore who witnessed the ribbon cutting by Tina Starbuck, Head of Corporate Fundraising for Naomi House, which is supported locally by Lok’nStore.

Neil Newman, Group Director of Sales for Lok’nStore, welcomed invited guests – which included Douglas Stafford Head of Communications Jamie White – to the new centre, which has been eight years in planning.

In a speech to guests, Neil said: “The centre has been Lok’nStore’s most challenging planning project to date, moving across the A33 in Reading from our old site to a purpose built, and modern facility.

“Lok’nStore has stayed committed to Reading and has developed a fantastic new centre. This is Lok’nStore’s second purpose build opening of 2014 and we have more planned for 2015.”

Mystery shopping and performance improvement company, Douglas Stafford, provides Lok’nStore with a bespoke customer experience programme, including video mystery shopping, across all of its UK outlets.
