Douglas Stafford team turn pink to support Breast Cancer Campaign
By Jamie White – Head of Communications
Team members at mystery shopping and performance improvement company, Douglas Stafford, turned a shade of pink to raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign’s Wear it Pink Day.
The group donned an array of pink shirts, jackets, jumpers, wigs and other accessories in support of the annual national event.
Each team member wearing pink donated £2, while a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses at the company’s 1000 Lakeside headquarters in Portsmouth, raised more than £100.
A cake sale, with sponge cakes, chocolate cakes and cupcakes made by team members Jo Morgan and Teena Daniels, added more money to the pot.

Douglas Stafford Head of Communications, Jamie White, said: “Everybody really supported the day and it was great we could raise money for a very worthy cause.”
The day coincided with a Dress Down Day at the company, which also raised money for its 2013 Charity of the Year, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Elsewhere in the UK, Everton footballers wore pink socks for their training sessions, landmark buildings turned pink, and businesses and groups held events across the UK with a pink theme.

In total, around £250 was raised by the Douglas Stafford team, which will be split between the two charities.
