House of Fraser website re-designed to be more user friendly for smartphones and tablets
By Hannah Cook
Luxury department store House of Fraser has launched its redesigned website – with touch-screen users in mind.
New navigation menus and a new header are among the new changes to enhance the full user experience. House of Fraser has also made more subtle amendments, which include enhancing the load speed which will improve user experience for people who have slower internet connections.
Shoppers will now also be able to ‘shop by department’ or ‘shop by brand’ and product pages feature larger images with a new ‘super zoom’ feature.
It’s the company’s first major website design change since July 2011.
Over half of online traffic on the House of Fraser website now comes from touch-screens, which includes smartphones and tablets.
