Douglas Stafford Mystery Shopping team take part in Wear A Hat Day for charity
By Jamie White – Head of Communications
Team members at mystery shopping and customer experience improvement company, Douglas Stafford, have been taking part in special charity day.
For one day only, hats of all colours, styles, shapes and sizes have been worn by the team members at the company’s Portsmouth head office at 1000 Lakeside, Lakeside North Harbour, in support of Brain Tumour Research’s Wear A Hat Day.
The national event encourages people to wear a hat for the day to raise awareness about brain cancer, and donate money to the cause by texting WEAR12 to 70070 which donates £3 to charity.
Some of the quirky hats donned by the team members across the various departments at Douglas Stafford included pirate hats, bowler hats, beanie hats, safari hats and even a policeman’s helmet.
The day also coincided with a Dress Down Day which supports the Douglas Stafford’s nominated charity for 2014 – The Roberts Centre.
A Brain Tumour Research Awareness Day is taking place at 1000 Lakeside, Lakeside North Harbour on Monday (March 31st). Representatives from Brain Tumour Research will be in the building’s atrium from 10am-2pm, where people will be able to make a donation. The Mayor of Portsmouth will be making an appearance and there will also be a cake sale with proceeds going to charity.
