Sun shines for first Douglas Stafford corporate sailing day of 2014

The first Douglas Stafford corporate sailing day of 2014 was held in glorious sunshine this week.

Top performing team members from one of the UK’s leading car dealer groups and clients of Douglas Stafford – Vertu Motors – set sail from Gunwharf Quays in calm waters and headed across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.

During the trip, the crew were able to enjoy some sailing on board Lady Diane – a 40ft Beneteau yacht – by raising and lowering the sails and each having a turn at the helm, in glorious sunshine.

The group stopped for lunch in East Cowes, before crossing back across the Solent to Portsmouth later in the day.

Vertu Motors Aftersales Training Manager, Jimmy Young, said: “Thanks for a great day out and the excellent hospitality we received throughout the day. The guys were delighted with the recognition and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.”
