Chris Black to join Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as Head of Fleet

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has appointed Chris Black to the newly created role of Head of Fleet.
In his new role, Chris (pictured) will report directly to Andrew Waite, Head of Sales Operations for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and will be responsible for spearheading the brand’s fleet sales operation.
Chris joins the brand from Lombard Corporate Asset Finance where he held the role of UK Head of Corporate Coverage.
Chris, who will take up his new position on June 9th, brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the automotive and financial sectors.
Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Waite, said: “We are really excited that Chris is joining the team. His appointment comes as we look to strengthen our fleet team. His automotive and financial sector customer relationship management experience is an ideal fit for the brand and we are confident he will contribute significantly to the success of our fleet business.”
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles celebrated a record start to the year, posting its best-ever first quarter light commercial vehicle registrations of 10,757 – up 19 per cent on 2013. The impressive performance maintains the brand’s status as the UK’s leading van importer and the number two light commercial vehicle manufacturer.
