Marshalls prize winners take to the Solent to enjoy sailing day

A sailing day donated by mystery shopping company Douglas Stafford for a charity raffle was enjoyed the lucky prize winners.

 

A day on board Lady Diane – a 40ft luxury Beneteau yacht – was donated to Douglas Stafford’s valued clients Marshalls Motor Group.

 

The prize was won by Pam Lord, Team Leader Education, AeroAcademy at Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group.

 

After a short safety brief and fitting of the lifejackets, Pam and her family set sail from Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, and were able to enjoy some sailing in the calm waters, while heading over to the Isle of Wight.

 

It was the first time the group had ever been sailing – and they loved every minute.

 

Pam said: “My family and I had an amazing time on the yacht. We had not sailed before and it was so interesting to be involved with everything that goes on when sailing. There was also plenty of time to relax.

 

“Graham, the skipper, made the day for us. He was very entertaining and informative. My sons, daughter and son-in-laws did most of the work under Graham’s instruction, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I even steered as well.

 

“We were so lucky with the weather and we loved it. I would thoroughly recommend the whole experience!”
