A colourful collection of over 140 smart cars brightened up the Beaulieu Arena in the grounds of the National Motor Museum for the fourth annual Simply Smart rally.

All smart car owners were invited to drive their quirky motors to Beaulieu, display their vehicles in its parkland, and enjoy all the delights of the attraction, whilst getting the chance to meet other like-minded enthusiasts and admire their vehicles.

Events Co-ordinator Charlotte Mountain said: “We were very pleased to welcome back this hugely popular event in Beaulieu’s calendar, which always features an eclectic mix of different smart cars in a fantastic range of colours. Simply Smart always proves what a huge following these small cars have and it is great that many owners who attend choose to personalise their cars with colourful graphics and designs.”

A wonderful variety of models were on show, from the iconic smart fortwo model, which is always well-represented at the event, together with some of the marque’s quirkier variants, such as the sporty roadster, Brabus, 451, the family forfour and even the roofless, limited edition crossblade.

This event was again well supported by a number of owners’ clubs and SmartManiac forum members. Traditionally, Simply Smart is held on Remembrance Sunday with Beaulieu visitors joining Smart owners in observing two minutes silence at 11am.
