Mercedes-Benz Sprinter scoops three awards
By Jamie White – Head of Communications
The new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has scooped three top honours at the VansA2Z Vans of the Year Awards 2014, including the accolade for Innovation.
Steve Bridge, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Vans, said: “It is a real honour to be recognised for the level of innovation that Mercedes-Benz Vans has worked so hard to achieve with the new Sprinter, and continues to strive for across all models going forwards.
“We are also delighted that the Sprinter has proved its adaptable qualities in winning in both the Minibus and 4×4 Panel Van categories.”
In total, Sprinter had a triple award success, also crowned both Minibus of the Year and 4×4 Panel Van of the Year 2014.
Neil McIntee, Editor of VansA2Z, said: “The latest Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is being produced with a comprehensive suite of standard and optional safety systems. We are especially impressed by the Three Pointed Star’s decision to fit Crosswind Assist as standard as part of Sprinter’s Electronic Stability Programme.
“On the options list is Blind Spot Assist, Highbeam Assist and Lane Keeping Assist and in our opinion, the most impressive of all these devices is Collision Prevention Assist. And what do all these packages have in common? They are all potential life-savers.”
