A team member from Douglas Stafford enjoyed the thrills and spills of the latest round of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at the weekend.

Account Manager, Chad Robbins, was invited along to the event as guests of longstanding Douglas Stafford clients, Renault UK.

Chad enjoyed the day’s racing from the grandstand and was treated to a sumptuous lunch and given a guided tour of the paddock.

The latest round of the BTCC was held at Rockingham, with Championship leader Colin Turkington extending his advantage at the top of the standings with a double victory.

The 2009 champion got the jump on pole-sitter Sam Tordoff off the line and despite coming under intense early pressure, he eventually pulled clear to win by a comfortable margin. Tordoff held on to second from team-mate Jason Plato until the finish.

Chad said: “The day was very enjoyable, helped by the great weather and view of the entire racetrack from the grandstand.

“The guided tour of the paddock hosted by Renaultsport was very interesting and the great lunch they provided kept us going for a full day’s racing.”
