It’s been another busy week at Portsmouth’s Lakeside North Harbour head office of mystery shopping company, Douglas Stafford.

Douglas Stafford Mystery Shopping HR Manager wins team triathlon event

 

HR Manager, Julie Worthington was victorious in the Daventry Sprint Triathlon, which was contested by almost 300 runners, cyclists and swimmers from across the country.

 

Julie, a keen cyclist, took to her bike and cycled around the Northamptonshire route, which took in local landmarks, and helped her team race to victory in a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes and 23 seconds. You can read more here.

 

Douglas Stafford clients Kawasaki announced plans to unveil a ‘ground-breaking’ motorcycle at the end of this month – the Ninja H2.

 

Drawing on skills and experience from experts within the company’s motorcycle, aerospace, gas turbine and other high-technology contemporary manufacturing divisions, Kawasaki is anticipating huge international interest in the project. More information can be found here.

Ford launches recruitment drive - Douglas Stafford Mystery Shopping

 

Ford unveiled plans to recruit 250 new production operators for a new diesel engine production line being installed in the Ford Dagenham Engine Plant. You can read more here, while you can also read about the company’s top selling month of August here.

 

Longstanding Douglas Stafford clients, Renault UK, released a new video promoting its All-New Trafic.

 

The film is a remake of the famous opening sequence of Knight Rider, the cult TV show featuring Michael Knight and his high-tech car. You can read more and watch the video here.

 

Douglas Stafford clients Vodafone teamed up with Dutch composer Kyteman to create a song specifically for people with limited hearing capabilities.

Renault Trafic Van and Trafic Crew Van

The mobile phone company harnessed the power of hearing to make music after learning about 19-year-old Vera van Dijk, who has recently been able to hear for the first time thanks to new medical technology.

 

On Thursday, Douglas Stafford welcomed Renault UK’s new sales training manager.

 

He was given a tour of the office and met with team leaders in each of the Douglas Stafford departments. The day provided an opportunity for the new sales triaining manager to meet key team members and enhance his knowledge of the mystery shopping and performance improvement set up at Douglas Stafford.

There has also been advanced management training taking place at Douglas Stafford this week, involving members of the Douglas Stafford senior management team. The latest constructive session focused on planning and implementing strategic approaches for exciting plans for the company in the coming years.

 

And today, (Friday), a special dress down day was held in memory of long-serving Lakeside North Harbour security guard, Terry burgess, who passed away recently. Terry was a popular character and all money raised from the day will be going into a trust fund for his daughter, Lilly May.
