New Generation Hyundai i20 is unveiled

Sporting a new design, generous levels of equipment and segment firsts, including a full panoramic sunroof, Hyundai Motor UK has revealed pricing and specification details for the New Generation i20.

Available in five trim levels, the New Generation i20 provides B-segment customers with exceptional levels of equipment, with prices starting from £10,695 OTR when it enters showrooms in January 2015.

 

Kicking off the range is i20 S, priced from £10,695, featuring a high standard specification including electric front windows, remote central locking, tinted windows and RDS radio with USB. Supplementing the package, the S Air benefits from air conditioning, while the economical S Blue adds Intelligent Stop and Go (ISG) and low rolling resistance tyres.

 

Both i20 S and i20 S Air are paired with a 1.2 litre 75ps ‘Kappa’ petrol engine, while S Blue is powered by a 1.1-litre CRDi 75ps diesel engine.

The i20 SE model gains numerous additions including 16” alloy wheels, voice activated Bluetooth, Cruise Control with speed limiter, front fog lights, Lane Departure Warning System, rear electric windows and reversing sensors among many other features, with  prices start from just £12,725. Power comes from a choice of 1.2 litre 84ps or 1.4-litre 100ps petrol engines or 1.1-litre 75ps or 1.4-litre 90ps diesel engines.

 

Customers opting for the Premium model will benefit from Smartphone Docking Station, automatic dimming rear view mirror, automatic headlights and wipers, climate control, cornering lights, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights, projection headlamps and privacy glass.

The Premium SE tops the range with equipment that includes front parking sensors, heated front seats and steering wheel and opening panoramic glass sunroof. Premium and Premium SE models share their powertrains with SE models, with the exception of the 1.1-litre 75ps diesel which is not offered in the higher trims.
